Keyah Muti

“Where Creativity Meets Culture”

Keyah Muti

In African tradition, a name is more than just a label, it carries the weight of a culture, and its meaning. Keyah Muti is all that and more. The name Keyah Muti, derived from two African words, Keyah of West African origins, means 'In Good Health,' embodying the spirit of vitality and prosperity. Muti, rooted in Zulu, Xhosa, and Northern Ndebele languages, translates to 'tree,' signifying strength, resilience, and interconnectedness.

Keyah Muti’s emblem is not merely just a design, but a narrative etched in symbolism. It depicted woman, strong and graceful, standing tall like the trunk of a majestic tree, roots reaching outward, entwining with the earth below, while her branches are stretched upward, embracing the sun and heavens above, connecting life, strength, health, and beauty flourished in harmony. It also honours Yasuke, the original African Samurai warrior, one who is brave, courageous, valiant and fearless.
